It’s Sunday! Compassion . . . between Men?
February of 2019, my son introduced me to an informative group of well drillers, pump installers and water treatment magicians. It was a very secular, rowdy group made up of primarily aggressive men who drill water wells and then pump the water. These were “my people!”
I had my Jonah month. The Holy Spirit called me to jump in and write SOMETHING that would honor God. I didn’t want to. I feared being chewed up and spit out by my peers. Just like Jonah feared the evil and violence of the people of Nineveh. I did my best to get out of it, but I had the lesson of Jonah and I KNEW that I didn’t want God to come up with a new way of me getting barfed out of the great fish’s mouth. So without any plan, I simply wrote a post, It’s Sunday, and the response was incredible.
Stepping up and stepping out is what we Believers are called to do for Christ. First living an honorable life, and then speaking out when possible. It’s shocking HOW MANY real men love God who are in the Ground Water Industry. I love these guys!
These posts are written primarily to encourage men who do real work, in real tough environments, in a tough industry, and who are tough enough to stand up and love God.
